It's a beautiful day!

Don't let it get away! Today is our last full day of Refresh, Restore, Renew 2020, so let's make the most of the time we've been given here together. Today's Community Care task is a call to reflection and to action, so we ask that you give yourself plenty of time to engage deeply in the vital task of confronting racial inequality. Don't forget 24/7 Prayer! We often call it the "heartbeat" of our experience because prayer connects us to the Source of all life, healing, and inspiration.

Morning Meditation

Rev. Tom Albin's fourth morning meditation concerns John 1:35-42.

John 1:35-42

³⁵The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. ³⁶When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”

³⁷When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. ³⁸Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, “What do you want?”

Rev. Steve Rankin's final message comes from Mark 10:35-45, where James and John audaciously ask Jesus for elevated status in Heaven. Rankin unpacks the famous passage where Jesus proclaims that to be great in the Kingdom of God, one must become like a servant.

Evening Message

For this fourth message, Rev. Tom Albin turns his focus towards prayer and healing. Using Matthew 4:23, Albin points out that the Kingdom of God includes the healing power of Jesus Christ. This healing can be physical, mental, emotional, or relational, but Albin gives several personal examples of physical healing from his own life experience.
